As easy as it would be to place the year 2021 solely under the motto "Corona", it would be wrong. Rather, it is the year of upheavals, changes and setting the course for the future. "Building Business Across Borders" is therefore the guiding theme of this year's annual report.
The economy has been and continues to be heavily burdened during the course of the pandemic. GFT members have helped to provide their clients with highly qualified advice in all facets of digitalisation.
Gregor Mailänder is the first point of contact for 180 members when it comes to questions about GFT. Maintaining networks is central to the authorised signatory.
In many cases, the relationship between suppliers and customers is characterised by intense competition: What one has less of, the other has more of. This is different at GFT. Jürgen Stapel works here and ensures that partner support is not just an empty phrase.
Since 2021, GFT has not only been active in Germany: with Austria and the Netherlands, it has entered two more European markets. Whether Executive Board or Supervisory Board: many people assume responsibility for the positive development of all in the central bodies of GFT eG. In 2021, the composition of these bodies has only changed in one person.
A lot has happened in the past 12 months, from new members and partners to the entry into new countries and new, attractive offers to end customers. And our autumn conference was finally "live" again.
The central business field is "central invoicing". GFT members purchase "in the name and for the account of GFT" from its more than 80 suppliers. GFT guarantees punctual payment to the suppliers.
The Corona wave, the Suez disaster, component shortages and the closure of international logistics bases had a significant impact on the supply situation of German industry.
In the past financial year 2021, GFT achieved revenues of € 129.7m (previous year: € 132.04m). Compared to the previous year, revenue could not be maintained.
In consumer-related services, pandemic-related customer restraint is again choking off the recovery. Nevertheless, companies are entering the new year with a high degree of confidence.

Although turnover fell by 2.0 percent to 129.7 million euros compared to the previous year, earnings before taxes and dividends were again almost at the previous year's level at almost 5.0 million euros.
