review of 2022
An eventful year lies behind us in which GFT made its way despite adverse circumstances. From growing success in Austria and the Netherlands to the celebrations of our 50th anniversary: there is much to report.
JAN
GFT expands to the Netherlands.
GFT continues to grow: Otto Stöckl Elektroinstallation GmbH, Vienna/Austria, SAR Anlagenbau GmbH, Hausmenig/Austria and Z+K Services, Cottbus, become members of GFT.
FEB
It is war in Europe. On the night of 24th of February 2022 Russia invades Ukraine.
MRZ
GFTWAWI activated on 1st of March 2022 - ERP integration enables digital order processing across the entire document chain. GFT is now fully integrated with the esoffice ERP system from es2000 via the GFTWAWI eProcurement interface and thus enables digital order processing across the entire document chain. With GFTWAWI, the procurement process of drop shipment materials can be simplified. Third-party systems can also be connected via the open interface of GFTWAWI.
Keider Elektro GmbH, Mistelbach/Austria, and Lectro Sicherheitssysteme GmbH, Fellbach, become members of the GFT group of companies.
APR
From 28th up to 29th of April 2022 over 150 top decision-makers from the ICT system house industry will meet in Münster. Münster - that stands for history with a future, for a cultural stronghold and bicycle paradise, for a bishop's seat and student city. GFT and VAF invite their member companies to the joint spring conference at the Atlantic Hotel Münster.
MAY
GFT takes on sponsorship for a student cooperative at the "Freie Aktive Schule (FASW)" in Wülfrath. GFT signs cooperation agreement to found the first student cooperative at the Freie Aktive Schule in Wülfrath. In a student cooperative, students set up a student company within the protected framework of their school, which is oriented towards the legal form of the cooperative.
JUN
The workgroup "Controlling" meets again for the first time after the Corona lockdown on 21st/22nd of June 2022 in Fulda.
Thorsten Mayländer, the long-standing Chairman of the Supervisory Board, resigns from his position as Chairman of the Supervisory Board with immediate effect for personal reasons. Wolfgang Gallin will be elected as his successor in an extraordinary Supervisory Board meeting.
Wolf TelCom GmbH, Hallstadt, and effexx Kommunikations- und Meldesysteme Verwaltungs-GmbH, Netphen, become members of GFT.
At the end of June the managing directors and purchasing managers of the Austrian member companies met for the first time under the leadership of Günter Rappan and Jürgen Stapel for a technical exchange at SAR Anlagenbau GmbH, Hausmening, in Lower Austria. The main topics were the expansion of the portfolio for safety technology and photovoltaic products and systems.
JUL
Birger Thoralf Aasland will become a member of the Executive Board of GFT. He will assume his duties in the new management function as Executive Board member for Market and Distributions as of 1st of October 2022. After 21 years Rudolf H. Saken will end his work as CEO on 30th of September 2022.
ALE meets with 48 GFT members on key topics, including Rainbow Hub & Rainbow Office, Open Touch and product changes.
AUG
The first two Dutch companies to join the GFT as members are kwebbl International B.V., Amsterdam, and Geuzenet B.V., Hoofddorp.
GFT adds the area of "Photovoltaic | New Energy" to its portfolio as its 5th business division. GFT will list suitable suppliers in coordination with the members in Austria and Germany. The first supplier to be listed is Energy 3000 solar GmbH, Müllendorf/Austria.
SEP
Telefon & Telekommunikation Handel Ges.m.b.h., Vienna/Austria, is the first ICT company to join the GFT group in Austria.
At the end of September GFT celebrated "50 years of GFT" at its Autumn Conference in Berlin. Around 200 guests, including members, partners, suppliers and employees, attended the event at the Museum für Kommunikation in Berlin on 29th of September 2022.
OKT
GFT has agreed an anniversary bonus with Unify to promote the sale of Unify products. The bonus programme will reward all Unify sales billed either directly or through listed GFT distributors with a special bonus of up to 3.0%.
GFT concludes a supplier agreement with ADI (www.adiglobal.com), the world's leading wholesaler of security, AV and low-voltage products for licensed installers, for the countries Austria, Germany, Belgium and Luxembourg.
GFT and VAF renew their cooperation with a cooperation agreement. The cooperation focuses on the intertwining of ICT contracting, the development of new ICT business models and market research on selected topics. By combining the competences of both organisations, the comprehensive support for members will be further strengthened.
NOV
On 28th of November 2022 GFT and expert Technik SE & Co. KG, Langenhagen, will conclude a cooperation agreement. These are the largest electrical engineering companies in Germany, specialising among other things in security technology. Through the cooperation GFT and expert Technik join forces and enable their shareholders and members to benefit from the advantages of both groups from 1st of January 2023.
DEZ
At the end of 2022 GFT will add two more companies to its purchasing network.
effexx green GmbH, Netphen, stands for the construction of systems from the fields of renewable energies and offers photovoltaic systems with and without battery buffer storage, heat pump solutions and charging infrastructures for private and commercial projects.
Velser Bürokommunikation GmbH & Co. KG, Oberhausen, a subsidiary of Nachrichtentechnik Bielefeld GmbH becomes a member of GFT.
GFT enters into cooperation and becomes a member of VEB - the largest industry association for safety technology in the Netherlands.
